Bridget Riversmith is an emerging self–taught artist and animator with a disability from Duluth, Minnesota USA. Early absorption of the work of Bud Luckey, Derek Lamb, John Korty, and Jim Henson, all of whom created animated shorts for Sesame Street, helped generate Riversmith's aspiration to bring her own artwork to life experimenting with animation. Due to recent success with this aim, she's been awarded two grants to help fund her next film project: a 2007 Artist Recognition Grant from VSA arts of Minnesota, and a Fiscal year 2008 Career Development Grant from the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council which was made possible through an appropriation from The McKnight Foundation. In late 2007, she became a member of IFP Minnesota.
